Food safety and the need for a modern catering system

Food safety and the need for a modern catering system

Food safety is an integral part of human life, one of the most important areas of state policy and social well-being. The recent incident in the Kibray district of the Tashkent region - the mass poisoning of about 2,000 citizens - once again showed how serious the problems in this area are. In the 21st century, with existing opportunities, technologies and regulatory requirements, the occurrence of such events makes one think deeply.

This situation requires us to take a new approach. The introduction of a unified and high-quality catering system is one of the most effective ways to ensure food safety. Catering provides an important service not only in educational institutions and kindergartens, but also for industrial enterprises, healthcare institutions, and large social events.

Benefits of catering services for the state and society:

1. For the state - A centralized catering system allows you to control the quality of food.  A healthy nutrition policy can be implemented through unified standards, laboratory tests and strict implementation of sanitary and hygienic rules. This, along with maintaining public health, also increases the social responsibility of the state.

2. For the Tax Committee and the financial system - Catering services ensure transparent accounting, clear financial management and prevention of excessive costs. This system reduces corruption and informal trade chains and brings stable tax revenues to the state budget.

3. For the Ministry of Agriculture - The catering system creates new opportunities for local farmers and producers. A stable market for products is formed, and the expansion of domestic consumption stimulates agricultural production. As a result, employment in the countryside increases, the food supply chain is shortened, and quality is guaranteed.

4. For students and kindergarten students - Children's daily nutrition is established through a scientifically based menu.  Quality and balanced food supports the healthy development of children, strengthens their learning abilities and immunity.

5. For parents – The catering system gives parents peace of mind over their children’s nutrition. They are aware of how their children are eating, where the food comes from and under what conditions it is prepared. This increases trust and social stability.

In conclusion,

The poisoning of about 2,000 residents in the Kibray district is not just a separate area or situation, but one of the bitter lessons of the problems that exist in the entire system. Now we must prevent such tragedies by introducing a modern, centralized and transparent catering system.

A healthy generation is the basis of a healthy society. Every child, every citizen has the right to eat clean, safe and high-quality food. An effective catering system, organized in cooperation with the state, society and parents, will lead our future generation to a healthy and happy life.
